Hi Everyone,
I'm a long time lurker of MFP forums, a first time poster
I'm 23, work full time and I'm from Australia, I love to bake and cook (which is probably why I'm here in the first place haha) as well as travel when I can, socialise with friends and and manage serious retail therapy addiction haha.
After a lot of fad diets and yo-yo weight changes over the past 5 years, i'm finally realising that eat less and move more is all I really need to do, alongside not giving up and persevering! So far I've lost nearly 4 kilos in the last 3 and a half weeks since using my fitness pal properly, trying to stick to 1200 calories a day and getting to the gym at least 3-4 times a week. Ideally i'd like to lose another 20-25kg, but my main goal is to feel healthier and happier, which is already happening!

Hi! I am new here - just signed up actually! I have tried Weight Watchers before with some success (lost about 30 pounds) but stopped doing it and it seems to have found me again. I am anxious to try this, seems similar to WW but free! and no points which is nice. Good luck to you!0

Hi and welcome!
If you go to the Aussie Aussie Aussie group, you can find lots of Australians around your age and situation and get lots of friends to support you on your journey to goal. I'm from Sydney, but probably a bit out of your age bracket
If you are eating at 1200, you will need to eat back your exercise calories, as MFP doesn't account for that. Just make sure you are eating enough and this way you wont "fall off the wagon" or get back into the yo-yo dieting cycle again.
