I'm glad someone posted about this. I was going to post about it yesterday. I think serving pizza at the gym is kinda messed up. Are they just trying to secure clientele? lol job security? If my gym has some kind of small event they have fruit and veggie trays! Even a sandwich tray is better. I dunno... just my opinion.0

Indeed my dear.................I had to go home after working out and made a salad and gulped down 2 hard boiled eggs!0 -
I had two small slices yesterday right after I started lifting. There was still plenty when I left at 7:00, so I grabbed one on my way out. Saved my workout, was feeling pretty run down early on.
Like most other things, moderation is good. A little pizza is fine. Whole pie? Not so much.0 -
So what kind of pizza is this?? Is it healthy pizza?? or regular Chicago style pizza?!0
-
Usually from whatever is close by the franchise location. Sometimes it's a small mom and pop place, other times from a bigger chain. Last night was from CiCi's, a discount/buffet style chain. Not a big fan, have to be selective in which type you pick cause there are some weird ones. Another location gets it from a local mom and pop that is GOOD.0

Going to jot this down as yet another reason not to join planet fitness0

Funny that people would go to the gym to get free pizza lol. Me and my guy actually joked around one day when we got to the gym about yelling that there was free pizza in the parking lot because it was so packed and all the cardio equipment was full and see how many people left. :laugh:0

Exactly. My husband goes but I don't. It just opened in my "smallish town" and it's always PACKED0 -

It's not like they are giving free diabetes. It's a slice of pizza. You know...stuff you sometimes eat. It makes for a half decent post workout snack (for weightlifters, anyway). Are there better alternatives? Oh yeah. But it's not chocolate covered motor oil, either.0 -

Should also be noted this is once a month, not every week.0

What kind a jamoke gym would serve pizza. How about some free bananas / apples. My old gym use to do that once a month, great for a preworkout.0

I loved Pizza Mondays.
It's only once a month. Relax a little, you guys. Or do you never eat pizza??
Push harder, burn more calories, enjoy a couple slices afterwards.
We had Papa Johns. The veggie was fabulous and always plentiful, thanks to all the carnivores!!0 -
Ive never heard of a gym handing out free pizza but sounds cool0
-
Hang onto that pizza tight once you get it. Dropping it sets off the Lunk Alarm.0

Free pizza seems a bit counterintuitive. :noway:
Maybe they should try what a few retros do and go with a free chair massage every now and then.0 -
Pizza sounds amazing.
Also, I support them offering pizza. Pizza is NOT an "unhealthy" food. No one forces people to gorge themselves.0 -
Interesting idea.
I'm not sure that serving pizza is a good thing for a gym.
1-2 slices in moderation isn't bad, but the temptation of it could negate a workout.
Planet Fitness members could skip Mondays, or if the idea is so bad, there are other gyms out there.0
