Keeping clothes around that are too small... waste of time?

I wish I would have kept some of my small clothes. I pretty much hate shopping (I guess I'm liking it a little better now that things are fitting more nicely but it's still not my favorite thing to do) and I've had to do that lately because nothing fits anymore:) I think back and remember a pair of shorts that I know would fit now...alas they are gone forever!

I keep them, definitely motivates me. I have clothes from size 4-12. I kept all my smaller clothes, since I knew after my pregnancies that I would be motivated to get back into them. I started at a 12 and now can fit into some of my size 8 clothes and all my size 10. Now I am getting rid of the bigger clothes, since we are not having more kids...I will NEVER see a size 12 again. :)

For me, I would keep them!!! I personally get rid of all my "FAT" clothes when they are too big to wear. I like buying things that are just a little small. It's so cool when you can get into them. That said, I bought some t-shirts while in Hawaii last January that I could just get into NOW they are getting too big!!! Yay/sad face all at the same time!!!

I saved all my old clothes as I got fatter. Now, I am wearing pants that I wore when I was in high school. Glad I saved them, because it has cut down on the cost of new clothes that actually fit.

I actually have a shirt that I owned for probably over 5 years with the tag still on it that I never ever fit. I pinned it on my wall now as a motivation that one day I will fit it. Any bit of motivation helps :).
