metabolism

:tongue: hi, ive been working out for two weeks now (tryna get that bikini body) and I was wondering if I still had calories left over to eat but I wasn't hungry, could that mess with my metabolism. Like for an example, I have like 800 something calories left over but im just not hungry at all. :/ I already had breakfast and dinner what more is there if im just not hungry... :/ I don't want to mess with my metabolism... oh and anybody have any tips for a bikini body and a firm booty..???? :P

    800 cals left over? What is your daily goal? It would be easier to offer advice if you made your diary public so we could see what you're eating. :smile:

    That being said - yes, eating too little for too long can screw up your metabolism. And as far as wanting a firm booty - muscle is what's firm, and muscle requires fuel. You might lose weight on a low cal diet, but you'll lose muscle as well as fat, and likely end up weighing less, but possibly just a smaller version of your same, squishy self. :tongue: Been there, done that.

    Eat well, lift weights (or do SOME sort of resistance/body weight/strength training, not just cardio), drink water & get good rest. Eating too little (especially if you're exercising) gives your body a reason to store fat rather than burn it. If you have a hard time hitting your goal, then eat more calorie dense foods - nuts, nut butters, avocado, full fat dairy - no "diet" foods, use olive and coconut oils in cooking and dressings, etc. These foods pack a good dose of healthy calories in small portions, bumping up your calorie intake without stuffing your face.

    A firm booty absolutely requires eating more. You need to feed that body and don't be short 800 calories or you'll end up skinny fat. Eat everything you're supposed to.
