gym routine

so im one of the ones who cannot afford a trainer- im not sure if maybe i could elsewhere but i go to the most expensive gym in town because its the only one with childcare and their trainer fees are just far more than i can afford. im struggling with figuring out what i should be doing as far as a gym routine- this is what i have been doing
i get on the treadmill and incline to 5-6 and do a fast paced walk for half a mile to a mile (sometimes i am in a hurry and do the half)
then i do the weight machines (that may not be the proper term) typically i do all the arms and all the legs machines then i go around the corner and do crunches until i feel like i am going to die
then i get back on the treadmill for at least 10 minutes of heart racing sweaty time and then do a few minutes of cool off before i go get the kids.
i dont know if i am doing enough or too much or right or wrong- i am just clueless so i keep doing the same thing haha. thank you for any help!

I was clueless too. Just make sure you're not doing the same things everyday. That's how I messed up & "plateaued" you've got to mix it up with gym stuff & food stuff..they call it tricking your body or metabolism. I was a creature of habit, & that is bad. The elliptical machine burn a lot of cals too, & makes you drip sweat!!
Good luck:bigsmile:0 -
What are your goals? What are you trying to achieve? It's quite hard to critique someone's workout without more information about what that person is striving for.0

My goals are to loose weight- and i have a lot of it to lose! I also would like to gain stamina/endurance and build muscle. Ultimately i am looking to loose around 100lbs but for now im working on smaller goals- currently i would like to be down 30lbs by Aug 8.0 -
go to bodybuilding.com they have tons of workout routines to pick from based on what your goals are. The Live Fit from Jamie Eason is a big hit with many of the other girls on here. They also have a huge database of exercises with pictures to show you correct form.0
