One thought I had was a bacon and tomato sandwich on low carb bread....anyone have a suggested brand that's not like eating cardboard?

Any ideas are appreciated! :flowerforyou:

whattt? you don't like eggs? :(

low carb bread is kind of like defeating the purpose of low-carb, right? i mean, bread should be delicious and high in carbs! i do like where you're going with the bacon suggestion. bacon, tomatoes, onions...make a scrambler without the eggs. add some veggies! green peppers, mushrooms, etc. you can even sprinkle a DASH of shredded cheese on top. frankly, it's whatever you want to do, honey! :)

Screw your low carb bread. No offense to you, all the offense is meant to your bread.

Try almond bread for a good source of high protein almost no net carb bread. You can also throw in some Kale and Spinach to your breakfast. If you dont like eggs you can throw whatever meat you want in there with it. And add whatever other veggies you want.

Never seen that before. Is it in the bread aisle at most grocery stores, or over in the nutrition section? Thanks!

Muscle Egg!! Pasteurized egg whites, you can drink...oh and they are flavored.

Before you say "eww" you should try it! they are awesome. Chocolate tastes just like chocolate milk... also there are other flavors if you want...

otherwise, protein shakes, nuts, anything you would normally eat for lunch (just because its morning doesn't mean you have to have eggs, have chicken or beef or whatever else you would normally have for lunch)

I used to eat almonds (or nut butter) and fruit for breakfast. I also stay with a low carb diet. Now (when I am eating normal) I only have carbs in the morning which is steel cut oats made with a homemade fruit sauce. Even on a low carb diets some carbs are good. Just choose ones lower on the GI index and preferably not processed (so to lower sugar, fat, and salt content).

I doubt they have it in regular grocery stores. You can find it at places like Whole Foods or Trader Joes maybe?

Thats the nutritional data on it there. It may seem kind of expensive compared to 99 cent white bread made with bleached and enriched flour, but I feel like its not much more expensive than anything you get at Panera.

I've never seen almond bread in stores either, but I've made some delicious almond bread using almond meal/flour. Just google "paleo bread" (although I'm not condoning paleo, they have some good recipes). Or google "almond flour bread recipes" and bake away. :-)

I eat non-breakfasty foods when I break my fast. Things like steak and veggies, stuffed mushrooms with sausage and onion, pork steaks and a salad, salmon with a veggie like asparagus etc. Get away from the mind set of certain foods being labeled as a 'breakfast' food and it opens a whole world of possibilities :)
