Flax Seed - how do you use it?

Do you buy it whole or ground up or what? Thanks!

    I buy ground and I use it in my morning smoothies. I also srpinkle it in yogurt.

    I buy it whole and keep it in the freezer, then grind what I need for a few days and keep it in my lunch box. I add it to my yogurt and sprinkle it on salads and inside my turkey wraps. It doesn't have much of a flavor so you can put it in just about anything.

    I buy it whole and store it in glass jars in the freezer. I only grind what I will use in a week. I use it in so many things. I make crackers with it, add it to oatmeal, smoothies, sauces, soups, into homemade burgers/meatballs, add it when I make bread/tortillas/buns, etc.

    I buy it ground with blueberries from Trader Joes. I only put it in oatmeal.

    I have also used it in place of eggs in some recipes.
