Am I losing weight right?

I have been off and on dieting and exercising, so when I began to give it another try, I decided to finally do it right. I run for 2 miles (about 20 min) and am also doing the squat and burpee challenge, along with 300 abs every other day. For my diet, I am eating more fruits, and whole-grain foods, along with chicken and tuna which equals ~1200 cal/day. However, I don't feel any different (except my legs and back hurting like a mother), but it could be that its the 5th day of exercising. I have barely lost a pound as of today--other times I have done diet & exercise it came off more quickly (but probably because I was eating way less @ 700-800 cal/day). Should I just be patient and let time along with diet and exercise do it's thing?

1) Healthy weight loss is 1-2lbs a week and can even be as little as 0.5lbs per week if you have very little to lose.
2) You should give something 4 - 6 weeks before deciding it doesn't work
3) Take measurements and pictures...scales are not the only way to judge progress
4) You need to give it more time
5) It is very common to retain water when starting a new exercise program
6) Make sure you have at least 1 rest day a week. Your body will need at least one day to recover and by not taking a rest day you could actually cause yourself injury.
7) Be patient. Slower weight loss = more likely to maintain weight loss / Rapid weight loss = more likely to re-gain some (if not all) weight lost and have to do this again0 -
Thanks! I took measurements beforehand .0
