This is what daily weight logging looks like

I love this chart. (Mind you my job is to help people analyze data so i may be bias)
I'm posting it to show people that they don't need to panic when it goes up or down, or when it gets stuck week to week.
Wehn I'm feeling down about being stuck in a weight ramge (like i am now) I go back and view the 30 day report and i can always see the downward trend
This report is missing the first 10 lbs i lost since it has been more than 90 days... last weekend i kind of blew it a little camping came home 3.5 lbs heavier... all but .5 of that is gone again, but the little bumps up are not the end of the world.
I hope that this helps put it in perspective for newbies. (I also don't think people need to log every day. It's somethng that gives me satisfaction, for some people people is would cause neurotic behaviour... not for everyone.)
Enjoy the rest of your week

Fantastic job!! It does look nice in graph form
ETA: I weigh daily but don't log it daily. I like seeing the fluctuations, even when they go up. Because when it goes back down again it's usually a big number and it always makes me happy lol.0 -
Nicely done. I track my weight about twice a month, but I think looking at everyday records would help clarify the little changes each day. Thanks for posting this.0

I had to stop logging weight daily for motivational reasons, but mine looked very similar to yours for the first two months. (: I like charts and stuff, but my own mind couldn't handle it, lol.0

True...
But no matter how much you tell people this, they still flip out because they gained 0.2 Lbs 'cuz they had butter on their toast or something...0 -
I was looking for something about my weight-rocking pattern, so I was glad to find this. I weigh every day on my Withings Smart Scale and don't really look at it that often, but when I do look at the weight chart, it rocks up and down, up and down, with a steady downward trend. That seems to be my pattern, and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with what I eat because I've been eating consistently good food within the right range of calories and there hasn't been much consistency on the exercise. I thought at first it was water, but I can't find any rhyme or reason to it except to accept that this is my body's pattern of weight loss. I wish I understood it better, though.0
