Bad eating day...what to do tomorrow?

Well tonight was a small bump in the road so I'm looking for advice. I did some "cycle" eating tonight and I'm feeling really guilty about it. I've been really working hard so I'm mad that I ate so poorly. I typically eat between 1500-1600 calories but today I probably had closer to 2200 . Since I'm not going to weigh myself again until Monday should I maybe go down to about 1200 tomorrow and then back to 1600 for the weekend or just go back to my normal caloric intake tomorrow. I just don't want to get discouraged at my weekly weigh in. Thank you!

You log it, get up tomorrow and do the same thing. A few fluctuations are not going to stall the train.0

stick to your usual 1600, add in a few extra glasses of water. just keep truckin'. it will balance out.0

ps~don't get caught in this trap, either. sometimes you can do everything right and not lose or even gain. so if and when that happens, go ahead and prepare your mind to focus on all the other benefits of this journey *besides* the weight loss. if you are only focusing on the number, it is far easier to become discouraged than if you also consider how you feel, your endurance, your flexibility, how you sleep better, your attitude, etc. best of luck to you!0 -
The best success is having those bad days and still carrying on toward our goals. Changing from a person gaining weight to a person losing weight isn't an easy battle ... but it can be won, and I believe that you can do it.
What do you do tomorrow? Get back on the horse and ride toward your goal like nothing happened.0 -
Hi,
firts of everything, don't be mad at yourself nor feel guilty... it is too sad ! it is better to assume what you ate, enjoy what you eat at the moment you eat it and after. Just be honest with yourself and logg everything. Accept that loosing weight will be slower, but you'll loose weight anyway !!!
be happy, enjoy your journey in loosing weight even if the road is a bit longer than expected !!!
Good luck0 -
You'll be no fatter after a day of bad eating as you would be thinner after a day of good eating.
It takes consistency over time to gain or lose weight. One bad day means absolutely nothing.0 -
you could sit there and get down on yourself, or you could do what i do. when i go out and SERIOUSLY enjoy myself (read: multiple margaritas, deep fried everything + dessert), i know i need to pay back my night of deliciousness by going to the gym or doing one extra day of light exercise. i never go ALL-OUT trying to "punish" myself, but i know i'll feel better if i burn off at least 200-300 calories from the previous night.
this way, you get to enjoy yourself and not feel so guilty. don't be so hard on yourself & keep on keepin' on.0 -
Get back to normal today..you'll be fine.0

You've got to cheat every so often else it makes losing weight even hard. Some people even do it once a week.
Eating an extra 600 calories one day is going to make little difference, especially if you are strict the other days. You need something closer 3500 calories to put on a pound of fat, so if you have put on any extra weight it'll just be water retention or glycogen, not fat, and will soon go again.
Just ignore it and carry on as normal, cutting down to 1200 calories from guilt will just make you feel worse.0 -

stick with your 1600 and dont worry about it!0 -
Treat it as a metabolic reset and get back on the 1600.0
