My Tweaked (and awesome) Chocolate Cake
2 Cups Flour
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup (comes out to about 3 scoops) Chocolate Protein Powder
2 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1/2 Cup Vegetable oil
1 Cup Milk
2 Eggs
1 1/2 Tsp Vanilla
1 Cup Hot strong black coffee
Preheat oven to 350 (F)
Mix everything together in one bowl, saving the coffee for last.
Put into a 9X11 Cake pan (prepared with spray)
Took 40 minutes in my oven, but if yours heats fast, check regularly around 30 minutes up until done.
I cut this cake into 15 squares, and the pieces are very big. A deep pan will work best as it rises quite good.
282 Calories/Piece, 7g Protein and very very satisfying. As great as it tasted, I didn't feel the need for another piece as I would some other sweet treats.
*The powder I used was Eas 20g chocolate protein powder**

Is there something you can use instead of eggs that would work with this cake? I can't eat eggs.0

just try leaving it out and see what happens0 -
For this recipe, I think you'd be safe to leave them out completely. Eggs generally act as a binder and to help raise baked goods, but this cake got so high.. It would most likely turn out more like a fudgy brownie at the worst0

bump...this is in the oven now!0

So I halved the recipe and made cupcakes instead. They only backed about 13 mins. It came out to 136 cal/18c/5f/5p each cupcake. This is straight out of oven:
They weren't bad at all! Not super sweet as I'm used to cupcakes being, but I went back for seconds! Will bake again.0 -
bump! I'm going to try this out--I love baking with protein powder. Thanks!0

Thanks for sharing! I plan on trying this for sure. Just wondering, though, why you put coffee in?0
