I've been doing about once a week. How about everyone else?

I don't take a "rest" day. I do some sort of activity every day. I do interval training on the stationary bike Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Body Pump - a weight lifting class on Tuesday and Thursday and walk 3 miles each day on Saturday and Sunday. I found it is easier for me to work out every day. I have logged 156 days straight.

I'm really inconsistant at the moment but once I figure out some sort of routine I'll be doing 2 days a week probably wednesday and saturday/sunday just so I'm not working out in pain and get demotivated.
However on rest days I still walk and lift.

I lift, and I generally lift 3 times a week, which I suppose means I'm taking 4 rest days a week. I still do a fair bit of walking every day though. I guess it depends on how you define a rest day. But lifting heavy requires at least a day of relatively light activity in between to recover

My gym is closed on Sundays, so I do an active rest day: running, swimming, playing, hiking, pilates, yoga, etc.
  • 1-2 days rest. depending on my mood :) 2 days a week football and the other 4 days strength training at the gym.
