I am eating double the protein than what MFP recommends. Will this affect my weight loss? I'm staying under my carbs and fat.

You will be fine! Extra protein is always a plus! The limit here is far too low anyways (usually it's set at 15% of calories when the general belief is that it should be at 30%)

If you are under your calorie goal and fat and carbs I don't think it will really matter. I know that protein helps people feel more full and give them more energy, so I would guess as long as it is good protein it should be fine.

Agreed. The limit MFP sets is a minimum nutritional requirements. It's up to each of us to customize that number based on our health issues/fitness goals. In order to maintain lean body mass (muscle specifically) you need to get plenty of protein if you're active and in a calorie deficit so eating double is just fine. You'll see people freak out about eating too much protein like they do about drinking too much water but in most cases for more people it's not something to be concerned about.

I've changed my macros to increase my protein to 30% as well.
