1200 calorie diet....

I try to eat a 1,200 calorie diet but some times I am just not hungry and feel like I am force feeding myself. So I do not eat anymore when I am not hungry, instead I listen to my body which results in some low days and some days exceeding 2,000 calories so basically I am not hungry one day but may be really hungry the next. Is this bad, should I continue to make myself eat that 1,200 every day or just let it all balance itself out each week?

You've lost 43 pounds! I think you probably have a good idea of what's working for you.

Fatdoob, I am sorry if I offended you, I have done the search, but my question is specific to me. My apologies.

If you're "just listening to your body," then what brings you to MFP to count calories? If you're losing weight or maintaining your weight, and you're happy with how things are going, I wouldn't worry about the actual number of calories.

Depending on how often your eating close to 2000 calories, it could actually be balancing itself out in the end.

    For example:

    Mon: 2000
    Tues: 800
    Wed: 900
    Thurs: 2000
    Fri: 900
    Sat: 800
    Sun: 1000

Total: 8400 calories for the week

    Mon- Sun: 1200 (every day)

Total: 8400 calories for the week

Do you get what I'm saying? And if you have 2 or 3 days a week where your going over 2000, then you might be averaging more like 1300 or 1400 calories per day.

I'm RIGHT there too darlin' sometimes I am over and sometimes I'm under. To be honest- I stopped logging a while ago and after being here for what seems like and eternity- lol, I have found that I lose when I don't log. I'm not obsessing over every single calorie, and for some reason... it works for me.

Do what works for you. If you're seeing results... then its working. If you stall, then change things up :)
