Hi folks,
I've been meaning to join up for far too long, and meaning to start my diet again for, again, far too long! I lost 100lbs, but unfortunately I've put about half of it back on, and for months and months I've been putting off and putting off re-starting. I'm fed up about the whole thing, and really disappointed with myself for gaining back so much weight so I'm here to put things right.
My plans for now is to take things very slowly and work out the best way for me to lose weight and stop the frequent rebellions I go through. This is my main goal right now - to keep things steady. So often I begin a diet and last a few days, then rebel and another few weeks go by before I get back on the wagon: this month, for example, I lost 10lbs in 14 days, and gained 12 pounds back in the next 14. But, I've finally come to the realisation that tomorrow never comes and I have to start now, and over-eating and yo-yoing really is not worth feeling this bad. I'm hoping over the next 30 days I will maintain my weight, or else lose a few pounds. I can't through myself into this all guns blazing - it just doesn't work for me. This journey will have to be very slow and very very steady.
So, as I'll be here for quite some time I'd like some friends to share the journey with! As my profile says, I love reading (classics, mostly), and I write a little too, and I'm also learning Ancient Greek. I hope some of you out there would like to add me, even if I haven't got any amazing plans for astonishing weight loss. Right now, I need to focus on keeping things steady
