My name is Erin. I am 32 years old. I have reached that point where I want to be healthy. That's it. At the end of the day I want to be healthy in all aspects (mental, physical, spiritual, social). I'm tired of just each day being a day, I want it to occassionally be a "What a day!" or maybe a simple "It was good." That's it. That's what I'm about at this point in my life. I can be moody. On top of fighting the weight that I gained from silly choices as a youth not looking or believing I'd be alive in my thirties, I am fighting the side effects of medications that cause weight gain amongst other things. Specifically, I'm on an SGA (Second Generation Atypical Antipsychotic) and a benzo that causes the side effect. So, I've got a couple of fronts up that I'm battling, but willing to fight it to the winning point of just being who I am as I am and being okay with that idea.

Welcome to MFP Erin. I'm Diane and in February I had a similar revelation. I've been on here now for 6 months and I LOVE this site!!! The support system is amazing!. Feel free to add me as a friend so we can keep each other motivated. It looks like we have very similar goals. :flowerforyou:

    welcome,
I too am fighting weight gain from medication and medical issues. but we can do this. I have only been trying for a month and I have already lost 13lbs. We just have to stick with it and not give up. You will soon be having a "what a day"
  • Hey sis! It doable-both of us can do it! Your meds that you take make you gain much more than my silly pills, but you can do this and so can I!!!!!
I am just SO excited we get to do this together!!!!!!!!!! Hooray! I love you so much, girl.
