“There’s very good evidence” that high-intensity interval training provides “many of the fitness benefits of prolonged endurance training but in much less time,”
The exercises should be performed in rapid succession, allowing 30 seconds for each
Let us know how it works out. Make sure and get some before and after pictures.0 -
But it's 12 exercises for 30 seconds each... isn't that only 6 minutes? Where does the 7 come from? HOW DO MATH?0
-
A seven (or six) minute workout is better than a NO minute workout :drinker:0

Oh wait, 10 second rest between exercises. Okay, so that's an additional 120 seconds, or 2 minutes... which means in total this thing would be 8 minutes... I'M STILL CONFUSED0 -
Better plan: tabata, the 4 minute workout.0

"...a 10-second rest between exercises." does that even make sense?
12 x 30 = 360 / 60 = 6 minutes of exercising
12 x 10 = 120 / 60 = 2 minutes of rest
That's 8 minutes Liars

this about 50 year old research!! gotta love the times!0

Based on science. Someone please test this and let us know if it works.0

The exercised are basic and simple. If you are not doing a work out yet, this is perfect to start. You don't have to have a gym or weights to get results. Later on you will want to challege yourself more by adding weights and possibly more complicated routines. For most people I see if they walked for 30 min a day and did these movements they would see a big difference in thier bodies.
We all have to start somewhere.0 -
I agree, it is a great place to start. You can add hand weights or modify to make it harder. I do 3 rounds on day I didn't have time to workout because it is so simple, better than nothing!0

12 x 30 = 360 / 60 = 6 minutes of exercising
12 x 10 = 120 / 60 = 2 minutes of rest

Wait... You don't have to do the last 10 seconds of "rest". Do something else instead.
So..
12 x 30 = 360 / 60 = 6 minutes of exercising
11 x 10 = 120 / 60 = 1:50 minutes of rest
That's 7:50, - round down for marketing purposes 7 minute workout! ;-)0 -
Would be good to know if this helps!? I'd never heard of Tabata training until now! Might give that a go at the Gym tonight!!!
Anyone else that has done this, please add me or comment, I'd love to know more!!! :-)0
