Oatmeal

I love oatmeal, everything about it! The warmth, fluffy-ness, the cinnamon taste just love it! However, when I try to make a healhy version of this favorite of mine, it doesn't taste that great! Here is what I am doing;

1/2 cup quakers whole grain oats
1/2 cup 2% milk
1-2 packets of truvia
handful of frozen fruit
a tablespoon of cinnamon or so
1 tablesppon sugar free maple syrup

It does not taste like anything nice yummy and fluffy from the box nor does it taste like starbucks or mcdonalds. Any of you out there have any awsome oatmeal recipies! :)

    well i use
    1/2 cup whole grain oatmeal
    1 whole large apple shredded
    1 cup low fat milk and 1 cup water
    cinnamon to tast
    nut meg or ginger to tast
    1 teaspoon brown sugar
    i love it and so do my kids

    That does sound good, maybe I'm just not using enough milk or water. I will have to just adjust I guess to see what works :)
