I don't work out...at all. I do work in a trade so I'm fairly active most of the time, but I have 0 interest in weight lifting at this point.
I've been very successful losing weight so far and have been trying to minimize LBM loss by getting adequate protein. I set my protein goal to just about 1g per pound of LBM. I'm just not sure if 1g/lb is too much for a lazy bum like me?
My current macro goals are: 40% Carb 30% Protein 30% Fat
Any tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Unless you have kidney issues which would require keeping your protein low, there's nothing wrong with eating some extra protein. Some people HAVE had issues with too much protein but that was generally ridiculously high levels. I don't think you'd get there without some serious OD on shakes.0

Not sure if it is too much. However, you are definitely getting more than enough protein for someone at your activity level.

Lol, yeah I know. I can make time to go the gym, I'm sure I'd get results and be even happier with my body. But I just do not want to at this point.
I'm surprised I've been doing so well dropping lbs and sticking to the diet changes. I wish quitting nicotine & not being lazy were as easy for me.0 -

Strength and Conditioning Association of Merica suggests .6g for lbm, & up to .8 for high performance athletes. 1g is high and unneeded. However some extra won't hurt. for most of us, that is 30-40% more than we need though, so don't worry too much of hitting the 1g goal.0
