Anyone taking the flexible approach to weight loss?

Hi,
I'm looking for friends who are taking a flexible or relaxed approach to weight loss. I've been struggling with my weight for over a decade, and this time, rather than going for the instant gratification of quick weight loss (and the subsequent quick weight gain), I just want to take it easy and slow, and shoot for consistency and long term results. I'm aiming to lose maybe 30ish pounds, but I'm more focused on bf% and how I look, rather than a number on the scale.
Anyone in the same or similar boat? Oh, also, I'm into heavy lifting (with fat loss as more of a priority than strength gains at the moment)

I agree with you 100% but there is as such thing as too relaxed.
Im not in a great frame of mind, I may have burnt myself out from working out.
A steady diet of Tilapia, Broccoli and Rice Cakes for 3mnths. I feel like Im slipping back into my fav foods mode.
Im not a stress eater, Im the opposite.
I like every thing you had to say.
Thank you.0 -
I could have written that, almost word for word.0

I do 5x5, don't log and don't weigh often. Does that count? lol.0

I haven't burnt myself out yet, but when I do get burnt out, I'm definitely going to try a diet break and eat at maintenance for a couple of weeks. I'm actually excited to try the diet break, since I've always been way too rigid in the past... plus, I like the idea of practicing maintenance0
