Nutrition Question : Add a few inches to arms only

I've been eating on a deficite for a while and maintained the same weight but added tone/muscle and happy with the progress.

However, I've never had big arms but I'd like to add just a few inches (not looking for a massive bulk up). I'm training my arms twice a week and made sure my protein is high. Do I need to be eating over my calories to add the inches or should I just keep going with the high protein and arm training?

Thanks in advance for

You would need to eat at a surplus. By the way, adding a full inch inch to your arms takes a LONG time.

Why would you just want to workout just your arms and not your body?

I do workout my whole body, leg days/back days etc. I was just wanting to try and get across I didn't want to grow my whole body like a body builder would "bulk up".

I'd read about it taking a while it was more just the "eating" part I wasn't sure about.

another possibility what most ppl dont do is focus on the contraction of the muscle vs moving the weight.. squeeze the muscle just like you are flexing.

What exercises do you do for bicep also?
