Help me tone my bum!!

My boyfriend loves my bum and it's one of my best "assets" apparently  But I am a little insecure about it and I want to tone it and make it firmer. Any suggestions?

Squats and more squats! And lunges! Try Jillian Micheals DVD's. They hurt but they work :)

squats, lunges, "curtsey" (basically you lunge back, but for example if you are lunging left leg back take your toe a foot to the right of you right leg, and squat down carefully with good form, burns like hell!), donkey kicks, bridges :)

Glute bridges specifically target the butt. If you do them weighted they're hard! Also I think plyometrics stuff like box jumps are really good for the butt and thighs.

Squats work but after a bit they stop putting pressure in the right place. I would also add hip buckets and kettle bell swings. I would also consider the Russian Dead Lift (RDL) which is essentially a squat. If you are wondering about the hip buckets; you will need something between 18-24 inches high; weight bench, box whatever. Lay on your back and put your feet up on the box. This is essentially and elevated bridge pose . But you will come up with only shoulders touching ground and feet on the box (Body should now be straight all the way through the core). Important to squeeze the bum to get there. Hold for 2 seconds go back down but not all the way to the ground. Then do it again and again. After doing these for a while they get easy so you can hold longer or put a wight of some sort on your lower stomach.

Start with five sets of five with just the bar to make sure your form is good. Then slowly add 5-10lbs at a time until you hit a comfortable weight (can take it to at least parallel with proper form for 5x5)

    This.

my library doesn't have that one, but checking for other strength training books for women, i found one book where the cover model is holding 1lb dumbbells and rolling her eyes - lmao

to the OP, NROL4W, or just squats and lunges would me my opinion.
