Detox/Cleanse

Options
I was thinking about doing a detox/cleanse but didn't know which one to do. I am up for any suggestions.

They are garbage!!! Not worth your money at all, just a marketing ploy to get you to buy their products. As long as you eat healthy your body does this already. The companies that market these products are good at promoting fear about all the so called toxins in our bodies . . . absolute crap!
This is another one of those "quick fix" schemes that has no health benefits in the least!

Your body detoxes and cleanses naturally -- through sweat, liver, kidneys, lungs and digestive system. Rather than do one of these "celebrity" endorsed diets you would be better off eating natural foods - stick to fresh fruits, vegetables, water, and some meat and legumes for protein.

I've tried several...including Julian Michael's. None of them worked or made any difference.

I have tummy issues and thus see a GI (gastrointestinal) specialist. She told me never to do a cleanse/detox sold over the counter. These are only harsh laxatives. She recommended taking miralax and drinking a lot of gatorade for one whole week if I wanted to "clean" out my colon.

I have tried Acai berry 10 day cleanse. and for me, it worked. but its like having a bad case of pms for 10 days; your stomach hurts soooo much! it does "clean" you out though and does work. just a lot of pain.

I have done the Master Cleanse, and yeah... great for quick weight loss, but results didn't last very long. I probably wouldn't recommend it or do it again. However, I do not see anything wrong with doing a juice cleanse drinking only all-natural juices from fresh fruit and vegetables. But I recommend doing all of your own juicing with a juicer, which can be a bit pricey. I have one, use it all the time, and love it, so it was worth the cost. And wow, what a huge difference I noticed when I started juicing regularly. My skin is as clear as it's ever been, more energy. I also like the book "The Juice Fasting Bible" by Sandra Cabot.

Or perhaps you could only eat only raw for a few days. Only nuts, raw vegetables/fruits, etc... nothing cooked, processed, and no meat.

This is what a harsh laxative does. Major cramping...lots of pain...and you eliminate lots of "stuff".
