We just got an above-ground pool and I am looking for good exercises to do in it. Has anyone had success with specific ones? Keep in mind, it is circular, 18ft accoss and 3 feet deep. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Power walking forward, backward, side steps. Depending on depth 20 minutes of walking in the water is about equal to one hour on land. The faster you move through the water and if you add arms all increase the resistance. You may do almost any stretches or aerobics in the water that you do on land. Ruth Sova also has a book out on Ai Chi which is Tai Chi done in the water. You might also like to look for water Zumba. I know lots of gyms are offering this now. Good luck and have fun.0
