They change all the time, but:

    Hush (Kula Shaker)
    Black Friday Rule (Flogging Molly)
Boulevard of Broken Dreams (Workout Remix)
The Boys of Summer (Don Henley)
Another Girl, Another Planet (The Only Ones)

Well I've been waiting for several hours for someone to post a song/s or band/s familiar to me though I certainly know Bob Seger from a post above and my favorite of his is "Fire Down Below"

ZZ Top: Tush (or anything by ZZ Top)
Bachman Turner Over Drive: Takin' Care of Business
    Steppenwolf: Born to be Wild

    (then my other self)

Archie Bell and the Drells: Tighten Up
Ram Jam (the one hit wonders): Black Betty

Now let me go get my 45s, my LPs (33 1/3), my 8 tracks and my cassettes. :) so I dare I not omit The Beatles, The Stones, Sly and the Family Stone, Van Morrison, Boston, Kansas, Dave Mason, The Temptations, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Sam and Dave, Cream, Beach Boys, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Zombies, Led Zeppelin, Spencer Davis Group...I digress.

Far out and groovy, man. Peace.

    1. Iron Maiden – Fear of the Dark
    2. Murderdolls – Dawn of the Dead
    3. Misfits – Astro Zombies
    4. 12 Step Rebels – On Cobblestones
    5. Blitzkid – Hellraiser

I have a zombie apocalypse-themed playlist for the most part (for when I use the Zombies, Run! app).

With a handle like leebesstoad (3 cheers for anyone who gets where it comes from), I'm into late classical romantic or neo-romantic music. Almost anything by Mahler, Wagner, Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich. And fortunately, since most of those works last an hour or longer, I get a good long workout.

However, for the pop side, anything by Journey (I'm sorry, but Steve Perry has the best voice in Rock history).

And just to make sure I stay on task and so my trainer keeps my full attention during our session: Rihanna's S&M.

I do DVDs and watch movies/episodes on the elliptical, but when I go running or cycling:

    -Sabotage, Beastie Boys
-Here I go again on my own, Whitesnake
    -Tubthumping, Chumbawamba
    -Elevation, U2
-I will survive, Gloria Gaynor (totally helps :D)

Dennis DeYoung, the voice of Styx, gets my vote versus Steve Perry of Journey. :flowerforyou: Liebestod.

Gloria Gaynor. Now that's a voice I recall as I eased into the disco era. She was right up there with Donna Summer. Thanks for the memory.

Edit to Say: I digress so back to "The Top Five Tunes To Get You Through Your Workout"

    Trouble maker - Olly Murs
Army of two - Olly Murs

Only ones that will get me going.... but that's when I'm running. Otherwise it's the damn stupid music on the workout video.
