  • When anyone posts "is ---- a good time?!" I always get the impression that they know it's a good time and that they want everyone to say so.

But giving you the benefit of the doubt, yes, it is a good time. When I started doing 5Ks I was at 40 mins or so. My PB now is just under 23 mins.

I feel the same thing as well.

    Great job, though!

Under 30 minutes is a good time for a first timer. I am sure, you'll want to get faster, so when you are done with the 5K training, switch to 10k :) Have fun! And when you can get a 10K in under an hour, do a half marathon until you get it under 2 hours, and then do a 4 hour marathon.
  • Oh please of course it is! I did one today in 41 minutes. I had to keep walking since there were so many hills. I think it depends a lot on the course (flat or hilly), and the weather. Our humidity was at almost 100% which made it very challenging.

Excellent time for your first one! I did my first a couple of weekends ago and finished in 41:15; it was an extremely hilly course, which I was not prepared for!

No. it sucks . . . if you last name is Bolt. Otherwise, that's ridiculously good for a beginner.

That's fabulous. It will be quicker even during the race, but that's fabulous!
