Ah-ha moment

So this morning for breakfast I had 2 waffles with 4 strawberries mashed and 1 tbs unsalted butter.....that was 359 calories with 9 carbs and 7 sugars -- my usual breakfast would be a strawberry/banana smoothie with added protein powder which while only 279 calories it has 65 carbs and 38 surgars !!!! That is already over my daily intake of sugars. Am gonna have to rethink my smoothie choices -- going to cut down to greek yogurt for sure !!! This documenting everything you put in your mouth is really helping !!!!

Waffles with 359 calories.... where do the calories come from if not from carbs? 9 (grams of) carbs is like 36 calories. The rest can't possibly be fat and protein.

i looked at your diary... you didn't add in your waffles. those were the carbs and sugars from the strawberries and your coffee creamer.

ya know now that I go back and look at it, they dont attribute any to carbs ..... on the box it has 27 carbs and 3 sugars in the mix only -- how would I figure out the total for the 2 waffle serving ?? I was checking into it so it wasn't listed earlier -- This was taken directly from this site's food listing --

regardless try substiting sprulina powder/kale for protein powder! It's a natural source of protein, is great incorporated into smoothies and has exactly probably 95% less sugar/carbs in it. I do a smoothie with 1/2 cup of blueberries, flax seed, 1/2 banana and low fat soy or almond milk. very filling and quite a lot better for you!
