Grrrr! Hate to waste it...

I just hate getting a nice firm head of lettuce home and finding it full of brown spots in the middle of the head! I used to live in Arizona where they grew head lettuce and I know how bad the fields smell when they flood them. Guess I shouldn't be suprised at anything I find inside.

Always triple wash your lettuce!

    I stopped buying it by the head i have to get bagged now ...seems more efficient

    I went back to head and romaine lettuce after the last bag of salad I bought smelled like stinky feet! I bought it with a date 6 days away. I went straight home and put it in the fridge. I opened it for dinner that night. Gahhh! It was reallly stinky. Didn't have any apetite after that.
