Tuna cakes/patties?

I'm wondering if anyone has a recipe for tuna cakes using canned flaked tuna. I've never had them before, but I am having a craving for them and I suppose they would be really yummy and healthy.

I make salmon patties, same thing with a different type of fish. Here's the recipe I use:
1 can boneless salmon
1 egg, lightly beaten
12 saltine crackers, crushed
Vegetable oil, enough to cover skillet bottom 1 inch.
Stir together salmon and egg. Mix in saltines. Cover bottom of skillet with vegetable oil and heat over medium. When pan is ready, shape mixture into patties and place in skillet. Cook until brown and cooked through, turning once. Plate up and enjoy.0 -

we make "tuna burgers"
Use:
1 can tuna (drain water)
1 whole egg
1 tbs pancake mix
1 tbs ms.dash mix
Mix all in a bowl then form into a patty shape.
Heat skillet and spray with non stick spray.
Cook until brown on both sides.
Serve on burger bun with whatever you like0 -
We call them tuna croquettes!
2 cans of tuna, 2 eggs, cornflake crumbs or cracker crumbs, some dill..
Form into patties, sprinkle some extra breeding on, fry them in a drizzle of oil. Yum!0 -
Ingredients
1 Can of Tuna (drained)
1 Egg White
1/3 Cup of Low Fat Cheddar Cheese
1/2 Small Onion (Finely Chopped)
1 tsp Ground Garlic
1/2 tsp Pepper
Directions
1. In a bowl mix drained tuna, egg white, cheese, onion and spices until all the ingrediants stick together.
2. Split in half and form 2 patties.
3. In a medium saucepan fry patties until both sides are golden brown.

here's one I posted not too long ago from Hungry Girl:
(each cake is 40 calories)
Ingredients: (makes 7 cakes)
One 6-oz can albacore tuna packed in water, drained
3/4 cup Fiber One bran cereal (original)
1/2 cup fat free liquid egg substitue
2 tablespoons red onion, diced
1 teaspoon French mustard
1 teaspoon low fat sour cream
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Directions:
Place Fiber One in a food processor or blender. Add some salt and pepper and grind to a breadcrumb-like consistency. Place half of the crumbs in a small dish and set aside.
Place remaining crumbs in a medium mixing bowl. Shred tuna by hand into the bowl. Add the onions, egg substitute, sour cream, mustard, salt and lemon juice. Stir until thoroughly mixed.
Line a large baking sheet w/parchment paper. Form tuna mixture into 7 mounds on the sheet. Allow to sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
Gently coat the mounds in the remaining Fiber One crumbs. Make sure to flip them and cover all sides well.
Bring a large pan sprayed with nonstick spray to medium heat. Cook tuna cake for 3 minutes on each side.0 -

I use 2-3 cans of tuna in water - I leave a little of the water in them
1 egg
corn meal until you have the consistency you want (somewhat firm - enough to form balls and flatten them out)
Cover your pan with oil and cook and you usually have to add more oil
I usually take several paper towels for them to drain on then the patties that are cooked on then put another layer of paper towels And I usually take paper towels to put on the top to get some of the grease out.

I do not have the exact recipe, but my dad used to make them with either tuna or canned salmon, one egg, and enough whole oats to hold their shape when made into patties. This made about 4, which we just grilled in a frying pan for a few minutes to cook the egg thoroughly.0

1/2 c lemon pepper panko breadcrumbs
1 can drained tuna in water
1 egg
1/2 of one small onion, finely chopped/diced
1 - 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
Mix the tuna, onion, egg, and breadcrumbs together. Form into two patties. Heat oil over medium high heat and cook patties, a few minutes on each side. Makes two servings. I like these with brown rice and veggies. Pretty healthy and DELICIOUS!0 -
