I'm currently using Muscle Infusion Black and Jay Robb egg white protein but I'd like to try others out there. I need something low calorie, low or no sugar, has at least 25g protein and won't break the bank. I like the Jay Robb but at $120/60 servings a month for my fiance and I it's a little pricey. I don't want a 100% whey protein either. For whatever reason 100% whey proteins make me hungry.

We use nutiva organic hemp protein powder..it has no additives but only 15g of protein, it cost $1 a serving. It taste like grass so I add plain cocoa powder, 1/2 banana and almond milk...but if I am using it as a meal I add greek yogurt or regular milk( instead of the almond) for the extra boost of protein (+8-10 g) Not sure how you mix yours, depending it can either be low cal or extremely high cal.
I dont use protein powder everyday, so this might not even be helpful0 -

I have been on a quest for low cost protein as well. I've got four items worth consideration:
Non fat milk - actually an economical choice and good base for your protein shake, 19 cents per 8 oz. serving, 90 calories, 9 grams protein
Chia Seeds - I put mine in my coffee grinder, but totally optional. This will keep you full for hours. Drink plenty of water as it will expand in your stomach and keep you full. One bag for ten dollars in the organic aisle of the supermarket, 29 cents per tablespoon, 3 grams protein, 5 grams fiber which will keep you feeling full
Bob's Red Mill Hemp Protein Powder - Protein and Fiber, $10.99 a bag, 34 cents for 2 tablespoon serving, 50 calories, 6 grams protein
Bob's Red Mill TVP - Defatted Soy Protein powder which can be reconstituted in five minutes in liquid, $3.49 a bag, 32 cents for four tablespoons, 80 calories, 12 grams protein, 2 grams fiber
These four things can be a great base for shakes and smoothies. Add other ingredients based on taste and calories. I use half a serving of the Hemp powder and the TVP. That way my shakes don't have that overpowering taste that turn me off.0 -
Have you ever tried Visalus shakes? They are delicious and have less than 1 gram of sugar.
They also have 7.5 calories per gram of protein, nearly double the minimum.0 -

hemp protein is crap. that is by far the worst protein to take in for muscle retention. might as well take in rice/pea
OP go for casein. the satiation of casein is extremely strong.
I take gold standard 100% casein.
you can also try trutein (tastes godly).0 -

Plus casein can be made into desserts like protein pudding and protein fluff!
I read about this and ordered the micellar creme, which apparently won't work for the fluff but makes great pudding. Can't wait to try it!0 -
