I haven't been exercising much lately because with work/uni/studying, I haven't found much time. Today is the start of my holidays so I decided to join the gym! I don't need to lose weight, I have got to a great point I'm happy with just by eating healthy, but I need to tone and gain strength so I though I'd do Pilates, yoga, and Thai chi as they seem like more my style (I really dislike cardio..but I do walk quite a bit out of necessity) Could you guys just tell me any personal experiences of doing yoga or Pilates, and noticeable differences? Or if it actually has helped you lose weight too??

My friend took me to bootcamp pilates the other day to try out for exercises on transformer. I would definitely recommend for toning up your body.

pesonally you dont need cardio.. need weights and if you want to take class's by far pilates is the best!
  • If you're not out to loose weight but just tone it is perfect.

Pilates is a good way to gain flexibility and tighten up. I do pilates after weights and cardio. I do Winsor Pilates abs and the bun and thigh workout and just added a Cassey Ho Blogilates workout as well. I find that I'm more achy(in a good way) after Blogilates.

Very good experience. I enjoy walking and running - but really like yoga, pilates and barre... The good news is that all three are available anywhere with you tube... And just 10 minutes a day does wonders
