Hey everyone. I've managed to lose over a stone - then put a couple pounds back on? Thinking this is from doing bodypump maybe?

Anyway I was doing swimming about 3-5 times a week and have now started doing bodypump for the last 3 weeks! I think I was getting a better weight loss with swimming and noticed my clothes becoming looser but now that i am only doing body pump, im not noticing much of a weight loss anymore but i am noticing i am toning up! Which do you recommend I stick to? Or should I try fit in both? Does anyone do any of these and have had great results?

Please let me know :)

If your main goal is having lean body, stick with swimming

I don't do those exercises, but from what you have mentioned in your post, I would do a combination of both. You seem to be getting good results from both, so a combination of the two couldn't hurt.

Did a search and found this post. I just joined a gym and LOVE both body pump and swimming. I did body pump for the first time in years on Sunday and I'm still sore (good thing I think, lol). I want to swim laps on the days in between. How is it going for you OP? Seeing good results so far?

I would do both. Swimming is a great cardio exercise, uses resistance, uses multiple muscle groups, and is easy on the joints. I don't do body pump, but assume its a strength program? Sounds like a winning combination:)
