Just stick with it! The saying "you have to really want it" is very true! ive tried dieting before and this time it just stuck with me I used to weigh 250+ lbs and it was rough... now I weigh 200 lbs still quite a ways to go but im not giving up. seeing the results makes it a lot easier! I have pics on my profile if you would like to see the comparison! feel free to add me as a friend as well ... best of luck to you0

I'll have to get my wife to sign up so she can get in touch with you. She has lost over 50lbs and is still losing. She hasn't made any major changes in her life, except for taking dance classes and being more aware of what she is eating.0

THIS^^^ I started at over 250lbs as well - and this time I wanted to lose weight more than I wanted to give in to laziness and junk food. "stick with it or food will stick to you" is quite true in my case - and I chose to stick with it and become more active and its the best I've ever done, the best I've ever felt and I'm going to see it through to the end. I still have a ways to go, but I am seeing and feeling the difference and it keeps me going.0 -
Hi, I agree with all the previous post. Just stick it out and keep logging on...I am 5'5 and at my heaviest I was 264 pounds- I am currently 100 pounds less than that number. I know that it is hard at times- please believe me...I know all about the struggle. But, I am really trying to hard to finish my weight loss. I want to lose another 20-25 pounds. We can all do this together. Feel free to add me as a friend.0

I am 5' 3" and started my weight loss journey at about 220. I am currently about 155. I have 4 children ages 16, 13, 12, and 7 years old. I am not where I want to be, but I am not where I used to be.
Just stay consistent and take it one day at a time. Don't let one day of "bad" choices turn into two days. If you have one bad day, shake it off and get it right the next day. This is a journey, not a race. It is better to lose slowly than too fast and then end up gaining the loss weight back. JUST keep at it. YOU can do it! )

Hi! I'm 5'5 and i started at 277 lbs. Yes. And today I am 158 lbs. I have about 15 lbs left to hit goal but im not even that concerned about them, they will come off when they are ready. Losing weight is simple. Its just not easy. Eat less, eat healthier, move more. Simple. But the practice isnt as easy. I was looking at a huge amount of weight to lose, 130+ pounds. That is OVERWHELMING and the reason why i didnt even try for many years. I found that taking it small goal at a time, instead of looking at the larger picture, it was more attainable for me. I went for prepregnancy weight, marriage weight, college weight, high school weight and now my final goal weight. My biggest advice is to cut out all drinks (soda, alcohol, sugary drinks) and drink tons of water. Lots of fruits and veggies, chicken. I snack on fruit during the day instead of my old oreos and doritos. I bake food instead of fry it. I eat at home instead of restaurants or fast food so much more than i use to. I park further from the store so i have to walk farther. Lots of little things just add up. I also came on here to read the success stories almost everyday. I saw that if these people could do it, so could i! I thank them so much. They motivated me more than they know. Do not give up, truthfully log everything you eat and you WILL succeed. And some pics you requested...
now...

Not perfect pics, but.... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/IrishHarpy1/view/two-years-and-a-whole-lotta-pounds-later-437096
I was just under 220 in the first pic, and about 120 in the second. I'm 5'2", and dropped from a size 22 pants/2XL tops to size 2/4 pants/and XS/S tops; I've been on maintenance for over a year, and in better shape than I'd ever been before.
I'd say MFP is worth it.0 -
I am 5'2" and have lost 35lbs so far. I started at 218 and am now 183. Still have about 50lbs to go. Here's my progress thread:

I was 223 and am currently 151... My profile pic is me at my heaviest, and at about 160. Keep at it, it's sooo worth it!0

Just under 5'2" here. I was over 200 when I started...0

I'm 5'3" and currently weigh 158 lbs. At my heaviest I weighed 265 lbs.
*edit to fix picture0 -
I started off at 264 and I am 5ft 4.75in. I have lost down to 216 and I am not a complete success yet. I have gone to the doctors because of only losing 8 pounds since January and found out that I have estrogen dominance and adrenal gland failure. I am still trying to lose weight and this is all new to me. The moral if you are having a hard time losing then get your blood work done and make sure that everything is doing alright.0
