Everyone likes a good story so here goes.

Once upon a time there was a man who ate badly, drank to much and didn't exercise. One day he met a lovely princess who worked out the calories he was drinking each evening. It was equal to a Big Mac meal. This scared him, so he started eating healthier and drinking less. This was November 2012. By the end of December this man had also started walking regularly. Nothing major but it was a start.

Come January 2013, he decided to join MFP and started logging everything he ate. This led to him exercising more so he could treat himself every once in a while. He was now walking just over 5k every other day.

It's now June and he has gone from 16 stone (224lbs) to 11 stone 9 lbs (163lbs) in 7 months and has added Sports Active 2 on the Wii to his exercise and is feeling muscles in places he never knew existed.

This man has found all the photos and stories on here very inspiring so hopefully the photos below will do the same.

He knows he still has a way to go but he is enjoying exercising and trying new healthy foods.

The first two photos were taken in January.

Nice! You're looking a lot better already!

I always think it's admirable when people who drink a lot realize what they're doing to themselves and try to fix it, because so many people can't overcome the addiction. Keep it up!

The difference between the before and after pics are amazing! Congrats on your hard work and dedication. BTW, this looks like a story where the princess saved the prince's life and they lived happily ever after! ;)

Wow so many comments. Thanks to each of your it really means a lot. The amazing thing is how much I'm enjoying exercise I never thought that would happen.

I guess it's the whole life style choice thing rather than a diet or anything weird like that.

Great work Kyle! You have lost loads and whilst the visible changes are huge, it's the health benefits that you can't see that are the real benefit. Your face looks totally different (even under the mahoosive beard!) ... time to ditch the old mugshot profile pic now! Good luck with the continuing journey ... how about starting running (as I recently did)?

Btw, if you're not friends with Kyle, he has the healthiest vegetarian diaries, with occasional dessert splurges! Great fun to view!

Cheers from a fellow Somerset buddy.
