I’ve been reading that doing only cardio will make you loose muscle mass along with fat. I’ve been spending my time doing 95% cardio on my elliptical at high resistance. After a good session my muscles burn like I’ve been lifting. I know I won’t build new muscle this way, but am I at least maintaining what I have? Does cardio with resistance help maintain muscle?

Sorry, but what you are currently doing is purely cardio. To maintain muscle you will need to do some sort of strength training, be it weight lifting, body weight exercises, yoga or pilates.0

Thanks for the replies. That's kind of what I figured. I actually love my cardio, and enjoy doing it for long periods. It de-stress me. I use my weight machines about 3 times a week, but only for a short period (usually 10 minutes). Guess it's time to up that and get some free weights!0

Not what you're doing.
To me, cardio with resistance is like Insanity or other HIIT types that use your whole body for resistance.0
