I have been doing my cardio workouts after I get home from work. It is better to do cardio before dinner or after dinner?

I don't think there's a "better" time for cardio. It's whenever it's better for YOU. Whatever you can fit consistently into your daily routine is when it's the best time.0

Some of the reading Ihave done suggests after eating is better in that it accelerates your metabolism. However, I prefer to do my cardio just before eating. I don't like working out "full" and I feel like an accelated metabolism during eating is not that much different.0

It largely depends on how you personally feel... I get stomach cramps if I cardio on food, so I prefer not eating. It really doesn't matter either way.0

I don't think there's an ideal time to do cardio. I do know that your metabolism is highest between 7-9am, because I asked my doctor last time. So in theory, if you do cardio then it will up the metabolism further and would burn more calories throughout the day.0

have a good proteiny snack at 3.30-4 to get you through, work out at 5-6, then dinner. working out too late can mess with your sleep.0

Yes!
Really, whatever you do consistently is best.0 -
Personally, I cannot exercise when I'm hungry - my mind is always on the hunger and my body just won't work out as well. Since I workout after work, I try to eat a small snack about an hour before working out (like a protein bar or some cheese and crackers on my ride home from work) that way I can come home, toss dinner in the oven, and work out while it's cooking.0

I think it depends on the person. I jog and I can't run on a full stomach. Which ever you decide you don't want to do either right before bed. Exercise will keep you up and eating leads to weight gain.0
