good morning all.
what a busy weekend. so full of sodium i can't even get my rings off. we shall see what final weigh in is like tomorrow.
so what are the names for next challenge? and who all is in? i guess this afternoon either kristen or i will get it started. i am so ready. bought lots of good food to get back. DH and i were talking yesterday, we feel like poo since eating out so much and no cooking right.
well off to walmart to get a few things we fogot on our many trips this weekend.

Yes...I am in for the next challenge! I NEED it! Did HORRIBLE this weekend! Again. Need to get out of this funk and back to business!

I am wicked excited for the next challenge! I need to go grocery shopping today after work and stock up on some good foods. I was good all last week... until Sunday... we went to my BF's parents for a family cookout... the only healty option was the salad I brought... I only ate one small cheese burger and some salad... but then came the cheese and dips... and cookies... and beer :sick: needless to say I ate wayyy too much.
back on track today. TOM started... so that should be interesting in terms of the weigh-in tomorrow...

got to get back to work - will catch up more later - had to bring the BF to the hospital this AM... he broke his foot playing vollyball last night... :noway: ... so I just got into the office and need to play some catch up.. :drinker:0 -
I definitely should have posted my plans for the weekend on here... It may have helped me stick to some sort of "plan". My grandpa took the whole family out for dinner last night to (UGH) Golden Corral. I had never been there before (and will try my best never to return) and wow... I hate buffets (except Indian buffets - yum!) and this was one of the worst. The desserts were good though!
Today's Plan (even though the day is half over...):
B: Kashi Go Lean Crisp, skim milk, cottage cheese
S: Kashi Granola Bars - Pumpkin Spice Flax
L: Turkey, colby jack, and mustard on light bread, cherries, black bean and jalepeno tortilla chips
S: Oikos Caramel yogurt
Tilapia, sweet potatoes, steamed broccoli
Workout:
I have my gym clothes but I don't know what to do... I don't necessarily want to tell the gals in my Core Camp class that I'm pregnant yet. My doctor's office told me to try to keep my HR under 130 when working out, and in that class, I can get it up in the 160's (interval training). So, I think I'll just do the elliptical or a slow jog on the treadmill. The thing is, my friend that has been trying to get pregnant for 1.5 years goes to the class with me, and I really don't know how to break my good news to her. I think she'll be happy for me, but she just told me that she stopped attending a small group at her church because it seemed that all the ladies were getting pregnant around her and she was depressed about it.0 -
Lindsey - congrats again and that is a tough spot you are in with the friend. i feel for you. I would say wait for another week or two then you can tell them. With your friend you may want to tell her seperatly when on the way out, that way she can choose if she wants to chat about it or make a quick congrats and bolt, if it is to hard on her.
Freckles - we all hear you on the get togethers, I know they are my downfall of all downfalls. Keep up the great work, you are doing wonderful.
Cathy - Thankyou for always being a rock on here, it is a inspiration to me, to keep at it and move on if I have had a bad day.
AFM: - It was truly a bad last 5 days, could not make a good choice to save my life, would have a good meal and then 2 bad meals. Telling myself I would only cheat a little bit. So today I have done good so far, had a healty breakfast and 1 piece of leftover pizza at lunch time. So doing good so far.
I have to say I find the hardest thing is not eating what is leftover from my daughters plate or eating what she has instead of my 100% healthy meal, I feed her nutritional things and lots of fruits and veggies, but it is the extra bites I dont need.
So today is a new day and new start.

Tracy - I am very sorry to here about your nephew... my little cousin had a similar procedure about 3 years ago, and he is doing great (now 5 are full of energy), doctors today can do some amazing things... I am sure in these last 3 years they have even more advanced techiques...! lots of hugs - keep your head up. In terms of the eating your daughters food (this is what I do to keep away from the BF's dinner... haha) could you aim to make a smaller amount? and/or pack up all of the extra ASAP - I have all the "leftovers" in the fridge before I sit down to eat... prevents me from going back for seconds on my own meal... and from getting into his... good luck.
lindsey - that is a tough spot. btw. congrats again. anyways i think she will be really happy for you... but it would prob. be good to tell her when it is just the two of you so she will feel more comfortable, and if she does react in a not so "happy" way you know that it has nothing to do with you... CONGRATS :drinker: (that is water for you!)0 -
