Hey everyone!
New to the site..not even a week now! Just wanted to send out a msg to hear how everyone was doing with their goals??

So far I am sticking to the requested calories and exercise! I run 2 times a day for about an hour each time.

I did my measurements and from the last time I measured myself which was 2 months ago I have lost 3inches! WHA HOO! :)

Would love to hear some success stories and how everyones workouts are going. Would love to make some new friends!

Diana :)

I lost 9.25" last month and 4.7 lbs. I haven't really paid much attention to measurements until this time and I have to say I am very happy with those results. Went over on calories this weekend and it showed in my weigh-in this morning. I do much better during the week when I'm on schedule.
  • Wow, Congrats..those are amazing turn outs!!! Yeah I don't usually measure myself but I did since I started MFP.

I am curious about these weigh-ins. I saw that on the site...I get the point in it..but how often do you weigh-in. I know everyone is different of course too...

This is a great site. I joined in January and from January to April I lost 30 pounds, 2 1/2 inches off my waist, and 4 inches off my hips. From April til now I've been going up and down and haven't lost much. Part of it due to laziness, part due to a foot injury. This week I am determined to make a fresh start! Because of my foot, I am restricted to water exercises for cardio, so my goal is to go to water aerobics 3 times this week at least. Last week I only went once.

As far as weighing in, I only do it once a week. I don't like to see the daily fluctuations, and a week gives time to show real results. Some people weigh in every day, but I don't want to be obsessed about it.

MFP is great and I'm glad you are here! Good luck!

  • Hey Thanks so much for the reply!!

Wow congrats on all the weight loss!! I can't wait to have results like that!

I am sorry to hear about your foot injury, they are the worst. I struggle with shoulder injuries and have dislocated my shoulders about 20 times now. It can be very discouraging when you have an injury. The best thing for me when I have an injury, other than doctors orders are to ice it when need me..and use the rubber bands. If your sitting at home...depending on what part of the foot it is that you hurt, you can work on pushing down with minimal weight or even turning your foot side to side. When I was training competitively my trainer always had me do rubber bands with every part of my body to help strengthen those little muscles.

Thanks for the tips about weighing in. I am not so concerned with my weight on the scale as I am more so about the inches. But I guess with one comes the other.

Thanks for the welcoming! Good luck to you too!!
