Hello everyone! I'm feeling bad about myself because I have no motivation due to depression setting in.
My daughter was recently diagnosed w/ having ADHD/ODD. After dealing with her outbursts and breakdowns the last thing I want to do is exercise and eat healthy. My energy level is on zero. I am a SAHM and I have 19 month son also. I just need some help with how to incorporate exercise 4x a wk for 45 minutes even when I dont have the energy to do so.

hang in there and get yourself into a group ( face book what ever) of parents who are facing the same thing. Your diagnosing psychiatrist should be able to steer you to a support group. In the meantime it is CRUCIALLY important that you take care of you, including time away from the stresses of this behavior. I work with college students many with ADHD and ODD and other Psych disorders ( always an adventure) and I have found that exercise and taking time for ME improves my interactions with THEM...and my ability to assist them. As the Mom, you cannot take care of them if you do not take care of you..mentally and physically. Hang in there sweety, with the proper support this does improve.. you will be surprised...0

Cototeldy thank you so much for your support. Every morning I get up with the intentions on exercising, but now that I have gotten this same advice from numerous ppl I am surely gonna start taking care of myself. My daughter deserves for her mama to be strong and healthy not only physically, but mentally. I really appreciate the advice and the time you took out of your day to comment. Thank you again.0
