Your favorite food scale?

I have a Salter 1450.

It works ok I guess but it is frustrating slow to respond to key presses and the user interface is not the slickest I've ever seen.

It has a "zero" feature so you can reset the scale to zero when an empty container is placed on it which is very convenient. I would want that capability in a new one if I buy something else.

Do you have a favorite? If you use one would you buy it again?

Thanks!

My Weight Watchers food scale (giving me the best of both worlds).

    Thanks!

Most scales should let you zero out. I have a starfrit? (?) one from walmart, love it.

I just bought a cuisaid prodigital digital kitchen scale off amazon for $10. I love it so far and pretty accurate.

Oh, saw the title and was going to say 'Salter'...!

I have this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Salter-Design-Electronic-Platform-Kitchen/dp/B000ZNM51O/ref=sr_1_3?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1370872464&sr=1-3&keywords=salter [couldn't find the model number so just linked]

I've had it for 3 years and replaced the battery once so far about a year ago. I like it, it works, it takes up very little space and I also like the function you mention of being able to 'zero' throughout.

If I was minded to replace it I would seriously consider one by Duronic (KS5000): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Duronic-KS5000-Digital-Diameter-Stainless/dp/B0085L24RS/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

I have other Duronic products and they've been great and always have great reviews too. With this one you don't have to use the bowl that comes with it, you can replace it with any other container.

I have the pampered chef one which has a glass plate, the zeroing feature and changes from #/oz to grams with the flick of a switch! I love that the plate comes off for super easy cleanup, it measures to the tenth, the zero feature is awesome because I actually put my dishes on it and then hit the zero so I don't have to dirty measuring cups and things... I hate dishes!!!! Oh yeah... and it matches my kitchen!!! LOL!!!
