In for cauliflower ice cream0

No it's not, but I have to say I am quite impressed with frozen berries and yoghurt. I throw a few handfuls for frozen mixed berries in the blender, some vanilla yoghurt and blend up, kind of comes out like a soft berry sorbet kind of thing.
I'm guessing frozen mashed banana tastes like frozen mashed banana.0 -
well.....
take 2 frozen bananas
125ml of yoghurt
30ml coconut cream
1 kiwifruit
1tbsp of coco
blend until smooth and creamy.
= chocolate ice cream, except its fricken good for you.
frozen bananas work as a base, you have to add a flavour to it, chocolate, berry, choc berry, whatever.
it works. its really really super good.0 -
In for cauliflower ice cream
mmmm how about cauliflower pizza crust topped with a layer of frozen banana "ice cream" and rainbow cauliflower sprinkles...sounds delectable.0 -

I do something very similar, but including a scoop of vanilla flavoured whey isolate powder.... IMO tastes as good as ice cream (and yes I enjoy actual ice cream too) but has a whole load more protein0 -
In for ice cream.
Never down for imitations. Yuck.0 -

It's definitely not ice cream, but I like it. It doesn't taste like ice cream, but it's creamy like ice cream. My son loves ice cream, and I gave him some frozen mashed bananas, and he fell in love with it. If I can get a 2-year-old to eat fruit on a regular basis, then I'm all for frozen mashed bananas.0

I love bananas... as bananas, not "ice cream". I tried it with some cocoa powder and stuff for flavor, and all I could taste was gross mushy bananas. I'll stick with real ice cream and just make sure it fits my macros.0

Don't like bananas, don't like ice cream substitutes...so, no. I mean yes, I agree with the OP...dammit, now I'm all kerflummoxed--going to get some ice cream...0

I tried this today with chocolate protein powder and preferred it to ice cream?!0

It might not be ice cream, but it is ice banana. You can't deny that.0

plus you can make better quality baby food than what's in that jar by mashing a banana with a fork0 -

That was directed at the bolded quote above in the sense that it shouldn't be hard to get kids to eat fruit. I definitely wasn't suggesting feeding baby food to a 2 year old. I'm sure some kids don't eat fruit though. Seems strange to me. My 3 and 7 year old raid the fridge every day for grapes and apples, and eat plenty of regular bananas. My kids also eat ice cream.
Then again, the last thing I want to do is get into a parenting back-and-forth. I just hate fake food and agree with the OP.0
