Protein

I seem to be daily going over my protein allotment. I am supposed to have 51 grams and somedays it is in the 70's and 80's. How many grams are considered too much? I am new to logging protein. The protein that I am eating seems healthy.. for ex: egg whites, greek yogurt. I hardly eat red meat, but eat turkey, mahi mahi and chicken in healthy portions. Should I be concerned when I go over my protein allowance? What are healthy substitutions for protein?

Listen when I tell you, you've got it completely mixed up.
First off the default protein goal is EXTREMELY too low. Aim for a gram per pound of body weight, minimum. You can manually change your macronutrient goals in your settings on website.
DO NOT TRY TO EAT LESS PROTEIN!!! Eat more. Protein keeps you fuller, for longer... Also keeps your body from burning precious muscle mass. Not to mention your body burns more calories to digest protein than carbs and fats, and protein triggers positive hormonal responses for fat loss.
Protein is absolutely key!0
