NSV: finding out what is causing weight gain

I went to the doctor in April and found out that I have a sluggish Adrenal and my estrogen was through the roof and it has basically stalled out my weight loss to the point of drastic stalling out. I weighed 264 after my youngest was born and now I wweigh 216 pounds by working my bottom off and then I have only lost and gained the same 8 pounds since January, that's when I found out there was something majorly wrong. I am finding out new ways to lower my estrogen naturally and also fix my adrenals. This is a real eye opener for me, so if you are just having a terrible time losing weight then get that blood work done because I have found out that losing weight that slowly wasn't a result from low calories but from messed up glands and hormones.

    Good for you! :)

My sister found out she had high estrogen levels and low progesterone, combined with an insulin-resistant metabolic disorder! Since she's cut back on carbs, she's losing steadily. OP is right-the bloodwork reveals a lot of important data!!!

Exactly, after 5 kids and my weight down to losing a pound to two a month I finally had to find out why.
