As a caretaker and 2nd oldest in my family I have always taken on the role of MS. FIX IT with everyone's emotional garbage. While fixing everyone's problems I began to make them my own I began to stress about how they are going to be able to deal with the situation and then It hit me; HELLO, HELLO
YOU ALSO HAVE PROBLEMS that need to be fixed. I never knew how to deal with it all so I just ate, ate and ate because It felt good, but afterwards, it felt sooooo bad and the after taste was never worth the extra dimple in my back side. Learning to watch what I eat and count calories has FORCED me to see this issue that I have and now I am learning to find other ways to cope with my feelings and leave everyone else to sort out their own problems because it all literally became too heavy for me to carry.
Am I alone in this or can you relate?

I'm often the one that others come to if they need advice or to vent their issues. If I didn't have a boyfriend who will listen to me vent my own problems then I would probably be around 400lbs by now.

Great post. I love revelations like these. I think moments like these can be very freeing and sometimes painful as well. It is hard for us to stop and take care of ourselves sometimes so I can relate to that. I think realizing what is going on is the first step in making a change. This is great. Glad to see you making progress.
