Weight/fat loss question

So if i have to eat 3400 cals to maintain my weight all i have to do is eat below that number to loose weight?

    Yes eat below the 3400 cals but also look at the type of calories. It it is made up of all fat and carbs it will not be so easy to lose. If you have calories that have good nutrition and lots of protein it will be easier to lose. I went to a doctor and my goal is 1200 calories a day over 100 protein and 50 - 60 carbs for the diet he suggested would be best for me.
