I started exercising yesterday joining a willpower and grace fitness class at the rec center. yeah that kicked my butt. I also did 30 day shred today and plan on going back to class tomorrow. I seriously can barley walk down the stairs. I can barley sit on the toilet. its takes me a few steps until i can get moving-this is just crazy. How long des it take to get over the soreness? Also another question, do u burn calories in a steam or sauna room? oh and what does TDEE mean?

Soreness can last a couple of days depending on different things. I've found with eating better I'm not as sore for as long as I usually am. Once you get into your next exercise the soreness won't be too bad anyway.

I don't think saunas or steam rooms burn calories, although I wish they did.

Total Daily Energy Expenditure, it's the calories you need for the day taking into account your exercise as well. This is the figure you need to be below to lose weight. Go to IIFYM.com, has good calculators there.

First time? Can be approximately a week. It will get better. After a few weeks you won't even get sore anymore.

Personally if I am not sore the next morning I am feeling like I did something wrong, I love the soreness and have met many that do too. Ever heard someone say rather be sore in the morning that have regret. The not being able to move type of soreness will eventually fade and then u will try a new exercise and get it again. U just have to work through it as long as its not a I hurt myself soreness and usually u can tell the differnce. When I started using my kettlebell the first week the stairs were a killer but eventually the pain dulled.

I feel it for about two days. Try and stretch it out as much as possible, yoga is really good for that. Just don't stop.

There was an old wives tale saying if u spent an hour in the sauna u would lose 10 pounds. Not gonna happen, been disproved. It will make your body get rid of toxins in your skin, which can lead to a glow - just don't over use as most things use it to much it is bad for.
Working out, food and plastic surgery is the only ways (stick with food and working out thou)

The more you do it the more you get used to it.
