I HAVE AN IDEA

Should i invent a lock that can only be opened by a HRM,
this lock could be used to secure all food away in your house,
then , you have to have burned some calorie in order to get food?
maybe more vending machine style then cupboard? that way, each work out would allow you to access something from the machine,
No calories burned, then none available to be eaten?

Well, you could, but I wouldn't buy it.
'Cause if I got locked out, I would just go and get McDonald's.0 -

That wouldn't work at all! Just picture the scene: deadline looming at work, row with spouse, kids screaming and fighting...all that stress building up - your HR soars and ta-da! the treat cupboard opens...0

I drew stick figures of myself at my old weight with the phrase "Eat a vegetable, fatty!" It's worked surprisingly well so far.0

WILLPOWER,, that's what it is all about.0

So you give your HRM to your friend who's training for an Ironman. Problem solved!0

What if I break my leg or have surgery?
I haven't exercised in 6 months because it sucks and my ticker isn't lying.0 -

LOL at all the great comments. I, personally, have a picture of Bonnie Pfiester with her quote on competing against yourself. It's motivation enough for me! (Adore that quote too!)0

This totally cracks me up!!!!!!0

What happens on rest days? I just can't eat on those days? I think something like a body media or fitbit device would be better because then it measures total calorie burn, whereas a HRM is generally only used for an exercise session. Food should be accessible as long as you still have calories to eat.0

Bahahahaha!
I love this thread. It started my morning of with a laugh!!!!
Especially the stick figure comment. I might do that myself.0 -
That's odd, my body burns plenty of calories just fine without an HRM. Most HRMs are pretty useless for calculating calories anyway. Not much better than using a dart board.0

Maybethe lock should be on one's mouth since you could go get food elsewhere.0

Sorry mate, but someone already came up with that idea:
