Water / late night visits to the toilet

Good Morning! I have been drinking my water and find that I get up sometimes 2 or 3 times a night to "tinkle". Is there a cut off time that I should stop drinking?

Til now I have always been a camel and NEVER drank enough water. I'm thinking that perhaps this new water habit is something my body needs to become accustomed to and that the late night visits to the bathroom will start to taper off.

Any advice and insights will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Your body will start becoming accustomed to it, but in the meantime, you can slow down the drinking a couple hours before bed. When I first increased my water intake, I would seriously have to go every twenty minutes. Now, I'm at 1-2 hours in between with the same intake.

I have my last cup of water around 9 and usually wake up around 1 to take care of business, almost every day. I'm used to it. Not to sure your body will get used to it, as your bladder is only so big. I'd just cut your water sooner.

I'm up and down at least twice a night, but I go often in the day too. Its often not just about water, but other fluids (caffeine/alcohol make you go more, for example) or a lot of watery fruit/veg will also have an effect - water in/water out, if you get me:wink:

i try not to have a cup of tea after 4pm, and never drink water after eight,. but even then certain foods contain water , so i still find sometimes i have to get up in the night,
