Starting my Journey

I am a 40yo woman who has struggled with her weight for the past 20 yrs. I am at my highest weight ever (206lbs) and I am 5'3. That is no bueno. I joined Curves in my hometown last Wednesday and started the designated meal plan yesterday. So far so good. I have also been walking everyday and have managed to increase the steps each day by 1k. I am now up to 8k steps/day.

I am posting here because I want someone to help me go on this journey. Someone who can encourage me and motivate me when I am not able to do so. In return, i will do the same for you.

    Feel free to add me as a friend. I'm on everyday and try to be supportive. I'm short-5'2" and have quite a bit to lose too. The support here is amazing!

    I am 38 1/2 andmy heaviest was 216. My weight has been a yo-yo. Lose it, gain it! I have 25 lbs to lose to get to my lowest weight I have been at in my adulthood. Feel free to add me!

  • I myself am at my highest, weighing in at 207lbs and am 5 ft 4..mind you I am older(haha no excuses)...pushing 51 and have struggled since I was 40ish..I have done weight watchers in the past but the lbs have crept up on me since before xmas...too much drink and party foods and then I went to Jamaica and wow all-inclusive:...help yourself buffets and dinners and have not been able to get on track till this week.. I have joined a pre-diabetic clinic for support and to help with this condition..today is my first recorded day of menu planning and walking....whoa hoo!!!my short term goal is to in 12 weeks lose 7% of weight which will bring me down to around 193...my journey begins now:

    Welcome, the support here is incredible!! Feel free to add me as well!! I am 40, 200lbs and 5'2 (although I could be 5'3, haven't actually measured) I have suffered with my weight since I was about 18. This is the heaviest I have been since I had my son 16 years ago. I was 216 then.

    Add the people that have responded to you (I think I will add them as well LOL) The more people you have behind you to support and motivate you the better!! In the end , it is up to YOU to get this done. Together though, it may be somewhat easier!!
