Hands hurt...help?

So I may be an idiot, that's okay, but hopefully someone can help me.

I am doing a workout series that requires doing things like push-ups while hold on to metal dumbbells. The problem is this hurts my hands...a lot. Not in the good way either, in the "metal is shoving against my bones" kind of way.

Any suggestions on how to ease that? Are gym gloves the way to go? Any particular brand better than others in terms of padding? Is there some other option?

I was going to just say "grow those calluses" when I read the title, but Renegade Rows (what I think you're doing) wouldn't benefit from that probably. Any workout gloves will probably do.

Renegade rows are indeed one of the exercises that I am doing..and burpees with weight and all sorts of other things.

    Thanks!

If you've got a TJ Maxx or Marhsall's in your area, check there - my TJ Maxx had a good selection of workout gloves yesterday. I often find good deals on workout stuff there.
